The People Behind the Puppies
I’m Kayla, and together with my husband Brent, we’re the whole operation behind The Luckie Puppy, based right out of our home in Americus, Georgia.
Our dogs are not in a kennel somewhere out back. They’re on the couch. They’re underfoot in the kitchen. They’re part of every single day, and so are their puppies from the moment they are born.
We got into this because we genuinely love this breed, and we stay in it because we love watching the right puppy find the right family. There’s nothing quite like it.
We keep things small here on purpose. It means we can pour real attention into every litter, every puppy, and every family who reaches out to us. Brent and I read every application ourselves and we take that seriously.

How a Puppy is Raised Matters Just as Much as Genetics
We believe the first weeks of a puppy’s life are foundational. At The Luckie Puppy we intentionally limit the number of litters we produce each year so every puppy receives individualized care from birth. Our puppies are never raised in kennels - they grow up in our home, surrounded by daily life, gentle handling, and calm steady attention.
Our early development approach is called Gentle Start, and it exists for one reason: to give every puppy the best possible foundation for life with your family.
