Welcome to The Luckie Puppy! We are a breeder of AKC and CKC Shih-tzus and CKC Shihpoos. We love these breeds and know that you will, too. Our shih-tzu mamas are Muffin, Dumplin, Cupcake, Ginger and Puddin. They have such sweet and fun personalities. We are constantly being entertained by their antics. We are thrilled that you are interested in our program, and we would love to tell you what sets us apart from some other breeders.

We are located in Americus, GA which is about two and a half hours south of Atlanta and about two hours north of Tallahassee, FL. We are a husband and wife team and we absolutely love that we get the opportunity to help others find their Luckie Puppy. We do not take that responsibility lightly and we do everything within our power to ensure you have a great experience purchasing one of our puppies.

From the moment your application is approved and your deposit is paid you become part of The Luckie Puppy family. We will answer any questions you may have from day one and you have access to us for the life of your dog. We really want to make owning one of our dogs to be as easy as possible.

So, what helps set our puppies a part? We utilize Avidog with all our litters. Avidog puts a great emphasis on ENS to help your puppy learn how to deal with everyday stressors the best way possible. We start working with our puppies on day three of life and continue all the way up until they go to their new homes. Our puppies are seen by our vet at six weeks of age for their first set of shots and to have them checked for any possible health issues and then again at nine weeks of age for their second set of shots and microchip. We will not place a puppy that is not healthy. All of our parent dogs are checked by our vet prior to joining our breeding program. We will not breed a dog unless our vet gives us the okay.

All of our puppies go home with a one-year health guarantee, thirty days of puppy insurance from Trupanion and microchipped with Home Again. We also send every puppy home with a bag full of goodies, a folder with all pertinent information as well as a small bag of puppy food. Please know that we do require a non-refundable deposit once you choose your puppy. This will reserve that puppy for you until he/she is ready to go home.

After reserving your puppy, we know you will be excited and ready to get everything you will need once you bring your puppy home. We have compiled a list at the bottom of the page, along with the link to purchase, of items that we use with your puppy already. If you wish to purchase through the link, just know that we will get a small commission but we are promoting these products because this is what we use and recommend.
